The South Australian Real Estate industry was reformed with the Statutes Amendment Act – 2007. To remove under-quoting and the use of vague terms around price; offers over, offers above, in excess of, low to mid, mid to high, and inconsistent price representations. The term 'price guide' can only be quoted in an Auction sale. In Private Treaty the term cannot be quoted.
Section 24A - Representations as to the likely selling price in marketing residential land and the prescribed minimum advertising price; these are critical points to understand when deciding your price marketing and selling strategy. There are heavy fines to Agents who don't comply with Legislation.
